This is not Hoffmann for Electronics

Pretty good case. The lack of a sub-panel and the fact that the ground point isn't concave inward (the ground screw rests against the wall) prevented me from giving a higher rating.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Some bugs

The perfect socket holder!

This box made life so much easier than trying to plug a large Hubbell 14-50R connector into a standard back box. The knockouts came out without too much fanfare and the overall construction is solid, all at a great price.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide

ideal for communication nodes.

I used this to combine incoming cables, phone and ethernet to just hide them in a distribution center in a closet. For installation, I installed stainless steel brackets to allow the box's lid to open easily while remaining recessed in the wall of 2x4 racks.

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Great cost effective control cabinet for open applications

I am using this as a junction box to house two class 2 power supplies in my LED strip control cabinet. It took me a while to find a product in this price range that was designed for this purpose (NEC requires a product to be designed for this purpose), but it works great. The knockouts were easy to remove and there is enough space in the box for my two Mean Well LPV-60-24 LED drivers and their associated cable nuts and cable ties. The only thing that would improve this product would be if there

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Very good universal box for third-party devices.

I received this box to install an ICM450 3 phase monitor to monitor the incoming 480 line into the building so I can start the generator when needed. The box is ideal for such purposes. Lots of knockouts. There are no support brackets. So if you're attaching them to a log wall that could potentially sweat, secure them properly. I will probably use this type of BUD box for many projects in the future.

Pros
  • Tools and household items
Cons
  • Slightly torn

This is a small heavy duty box

This box is designed like a tank. I read a review before buying that said this box could be used as a small safe if the lock was replaced. It's actually strong enough for that, but if I were to do that I'd use my TIG welder. to weld everything and buy the next size up. My application is to host a KB Electronics DC variable speed drive for a small lathe. A box of this size is barely big enough as the dimensions given are for the outside so the inside is smaller so expect that. I wish I could buy

Pros
  • Electrical Boxes, Wiring & Fittings
Cons
  • Ugly Packaging
