Our dough proofing basket holds up to 1,000g of your favorite dough and ensures its shape holds strong during the final rise. Perfect for crafting pillow-soft bread without worrying about deflation!. Thick walls keep temperature consistent: No one likes sad, uneven bread that screams “my baker didn’t cook me right!” Luckily for even the newest bread makers, our thick-walled bread rising basket provides all-over insulation, keeping temperatures consistent while you masterfully ferment and proof beautiful artisan bread. Create gorgeous, even crusts: Longing to hear the crackle of warm, crusty bread fresh out of the oven? Create airy, golden-crusted loaves with proving baskets that evenly absorb moisture for dramatically improved breathability and taste. Once you’ve proved your loaves with a Bulka basket, you’ll never want to go back!. Made from eco-friendly wood pulp: From tree to table, our brotforms harness the power and beauty of nature without harming it in the process. Sustainably sourced from local German forests, our spruce pulp baskets are more eco-friendly than rattan products made from rainforest palms. Plus, you’ll love that our Bulka bread proofing bowls are 100% biodegradable and chemical-free!. Easy to remove and clean: Difficult cleanup? Not on our watch! With a non-stick texture and larger surface area, wet dough is less likely to get stuck in grooves. No need to spend extra time washing, either. Just dry your bread proofer in a warm, well-ventilated area (or in residual oven heat after baking) and brush off leftover flakes with a stiff brush!.

COST - EVERY - PENIES

I'm a professional baker and don't like shavings and wood fibers in my bread from cheaply made, low quality baskets. The dough does not stick (even with high moisture formulas), it keeps its shape and structure very well, the material is strong but porous and reacts well with yeast and is easy to clean. Yes, I would buy this basket again and would highly recommend it to anyone serious about baking perfect buns.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Works First Time Baker

I don't really know much about baking but I bought Ken Forkish's book Flour, Water, Salt, Yeast and they mentioned Banneton. As a German, I should be looking for something made in Germany that might cost more but last a long time and have good grades. Reading about pulp bread pans brought me here and this does a great job of making 4 loaves of bread so far.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers

Worth the extra price: Bakeware

I bake a loaf of sourdough a week and finally settled on Banneton. After looking through what was on offer and wanting something more durable and of better quality I stumbled upon this brand and am so glad I did. After 6-8 loaves I can say with confidence that I like my banneton and am very happy with the result of my loaves. It may be more expensive than the $10 overseas proofing basket, but I can see it will last.

Pros
  • Well built

Did the trick! Best in Proofer

This is my first pressed pulp banneton. It arrived in a very nice box with detailed instructions on how to use and care for it. I don't have any other brand to compare. I used it the other day but my dough wasn't high moisture dough which is basically what they were designed for, but the bread came out great! It was nice to put it back in the storage box until next week. I usually bake 4 large sourdough loaves every weekend, so I wish I had a batard pan.

  • Always liked

LOVE THIS BASKET stop buying cheap Chinese crap

I bought this fermentation basket after we bought a cheap rattan basket from China and damn it's WORTH it. Every penny. Yes it was a bit more expensive than the cheap Chinese crap but you get what you pay for. I LOVE the little lines it makes in my bread and how beautifully it all comes out. We wanted to support a small company in the US or Europe that makes great products, and this cart does just that and more! Also, we love Germany, we have a family there and we want to support the companies…

Great banneton, doesn't stick to high moisture dough at all

I ordered this because the regular manufacturer I buy it from no longer sells it to home bakers. This is a great product. It's nice and thick, very strong, and my 80% moisture dough didn't stick at all. First, I poured in a tablespoon of flour and pounded a little, like in a cake pan. Banneton was packaged in an equally strong box (which doubles as a perfect sized cake box, FYI). It's perfect for my 1kg bread. After putting the dough in the oven, I just shook off the excess flour and voila…

MY GOD! Great ban!

I've used several different products to finish my sourdough bread and wasn't happy with all of them. There are splinters and bare nails on rattan. Plastic bowls tend to loosen bread poorly. Since the reviews for this banneton were overwhelmingly very positive, I decided to give it a try. When it arrived it wasn't what I expected. I guess I thought "pulp" was more like chipboard, so I was surprised but pleased. And a wonder of wonders! It breaks up the batter beautifully by lightly dusting with…

Great banneton!

I bought 2 of these and wanted to wait until I use them a few times to review them. I've baked several double batches of homemade bread with it. If you bake bread in 10 liter Dutch ovens these are the perfect proofing baskets and I highly recommend them. First, they are made in Germany. That's a big, big, big plus for me. Second, they work perfectly. Dust them lightly with flour and the bread will fall out the first time you take them out each time. And the dough takes the right shape. Third…
