They work great! Best in Computer Accessories & Peripherals

The cables are a bit flimsy and flimsy, but they've been in my computer for a few weeks now and I haven't had a single problem with them. They work great!

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Weak cables are good for computers and accessories

It works great and is inexpensive. My issue with this cable is that the individual wires in each SATA connector are separate for most of the length. This creates a mess when you need to guide them through tight spaces.

They work great - Mini SAS Cable

Works well when connected directly to NAS drives (3 x Ironwolf Pro 4TB - in parity space) and (1 x Ironwolf Pro 4TB - connected to an old hot-swap cage without a slot) . Copied 1.6TB of data from 7.0TB storage to offline disk in 1 hour 55 minutes. The cable connects to an LSI Broadcom SAS 9300-8i 12Gb/s which I got from here at Revain.

  • Handy Stuff

They fit mini SAS cables

Finally found a kit that actually fits my Areca RAID card. I bought a few that didn't work. I recommend going with this longer length instead of the shorter set.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • So far so good

Some recommendations: Cables and Accessories

I bought this SAS drop cable because I didn't want to spend money on a SAS/SATA backplane. I quickly realized that having a backplane is best! While the cable worked great, I've had two instances where my RAID array failed due to accidental disconnection of either the power cable or the SATA cable. On a non-RAID system, you can simply reconnect the missing cable and reboot. When using RAID, each newly attached drive must be rebuilt from scratch. If you're considering building a RAID array, I…

  • Unbelievable price

Great splitter cables that "just work "

Most non-workstation or server motherboards only offer 4-6 SATA ports, so I settled on the LSI 9300-8i PCI-Express 3.0 SATA/ SAS 8 - Port SAS3 12Gb/s HBA (2 SFF-8643 Mini SAS HD ports) to increase the number of SSDs and HDDs I can set up for my home server. For the HBA I needed a decent set of interconnect cables to connect additional drives and these cables were perfect for all purposes. They're well made, fit snugly in the HBA, and haven't experienced any speed drops (which I've experienced…
