Fine solvent for cleaning contacts.

I swear by this stuff and have been using it for over 10 years. Dissolves oxidation and removes dirt from contact surfaces. I recently used it for rotary switch contacts. The silver plating no longer shone, but was blackened by oxidation. Applying Deoxit to the cotton swab applicator allowed me to clean the contacts (back to shiny new ones) resulting in a more secure connection. The rotary switch is on the VTVM, so having zero-resistance contacts is important to improve meter accuracy. A small…

Liquid gold! about oils and liquids

This material is liquid gold. I have a headphone amp (Drop THX AAA 789) that got scratched by the volume potentiometer after a year, which unfortunately happens all too often with the 789. A few drops of this stuff while turning the potentiometer up and down fixed it. Fiio DAP portable audio player with volume control on the side. I didn't have a volume scratch, but the digital volume meter on the LCD jumped around every time I turned it on. I increased it a few clicks and it went from 10 to…

Great for mech mods

This is a great way to keep your mechmod's exposed copper contacts in good condition. It removes light to moderate oxidation, protects and keeps contacts cleaner longer, and offers better conductivity than other contact cleaners. It is also good for cleaning bare copper threads. This helped reduce sparking and improve performance. An easy way to keep mech mods in tip-top shape. However, it should not be used on galvanic contacts as it is too aggressive and can damage the plating. DeoxIT Gold…

You believe in magic!

This is magic. Buy a small "nail polish" with a brush and then fill it up. I use it for EVERYTHING. Clean the battery spring and contact. No more swinging lanterns. Always. Those cheap aluminum LED lights with sections that bolt together - the aluminum oxide (rust) is the insulator (read, the flashlight dies). Unscrew the new flashlight sections, put a drop on each threaded section and reassemble. I use a little to USB cable. No more intermittent connections. Anything that is bare aluminum or…

Decades of use of this material. Now a new application. joystick bearing!

I've been using this material for audio potentials and switches since the late 19th century. Audio engineers keep commenting on how this material lubricates and soothes the sonic pushers. My results have always been just as positive. I dripped on the pots on the flight simulator stick. They are typically 10k, 90 degree ROM layout potentiometers doing typical 5V work with an A/D converter. They are often miniature pots, smaller footprints, probably more susceptible to dirt/dust/bug droppings. As

Simply the best! suitable for electric cleaner

This purchase was a restocking. I am a retired commercial broadcast and instrumentation engineer. I have been repairing all types of electronics from consumer electronics to modern commercial test equipment since the early 70's. I've been using Caig products since the early 1980's so around 30 years. It was first recommended to me by John Fluke for use in the decade switches of an AC calibrator. (I'm not saying they recommend it now, they just recommended it then.) I've been using "Cramolin…
