I like everything, the price and the quality are both ok.

I have 600d, the lens did not cause much enthusiasm and a miracle did not happen, but nevertheless it has a number of advantages. comparison with kit Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II.: -sharpness is the same - color rendering seems to be slightly better, -autofocus is incomparable, it is faster, more accurate, holds the focus point well - manual focus capability so the question is only puppies: - convenient reliable (not counting the train disease)) design -fast autofocus -focal…

Cons
  • bursting dust Chromatism not smooth zoom

The right product for me, the price suited me.

A good, smart and accurate lens, with a stunning picture. But it has a few features/disadvantages. Those. they, like any other complex technology, you need to be able to use. I personally tried not to use it at extreme focal lengths and with a fully open aperture unless absolutely necessary. A slight decrease in clarity with a fully open hole may not be bad for a portrait, but the camera, when it is dark, can turn it on automatically in automatic (P or A) mode. Worse when you need a wide angle.

Pros
  • Fast focusing, beautiful picture, decent stabilizer, convenient controls, reliable. He has been with me in very humid places (tropical rain in Thailand, .), and in cold ones (outside the Arctic Circle) and nothing happened to him.
Cons
  • Quite dark, too large range of focal lengths (more than 3 times), a little soapy at the extreme values of focal lengths and at a fully open aperture.

Exactly what I needed, it's a great buy, I recommend it.

The lens is completely worth the money (lower price limit). Good for landscape photography, more or less for outdoor portraiture. Universal - you can make a panorama, and then shoot its details in more detail. Reliable - never let me down under any circumstances, although after I fell on it, I had to carry it in for repair - the focusing unit broke. Dust does not accumulate in itself. All its shortcomings only seem terrible, in fact they are killed with a couple of clicks in any graphic…

Pros
  • 1) Range of focal lengths. 2) Constructive - convenient rings for adjusting the focal length and focus. 3) The ability to manually fine-tune the focus after autofocus. 4) 17-24mm barrel distortion that can be used as a beautiful artistic effect.
Cons
  • 1) Small f-number, especially at the long end. 2) Not very effective image stabilizer. 3) Chromatic aberrations at 17-24mm. 4) Barrel distortion at 17-24 mm, which does not allow shooting architecture very well.

I'm completely satisfied with the product, it works.

GLASS ON CROPS - THIS IS NOT A DEFECT - THIS IS A CONSTRUCTION. (DO NOT SPEECH) FOR THIS PRICE AND THE FILLING IS DARK? ha ha . there are 17-55 f 2.8. If you want with FF in mind - take Canon EF 28-135 mm f/ 3.5-5.6 IS USM (analogue) The quality-price ratio (9-10 thousand) is good. The hood is welcome, Universal zoom for every day - fishing, hiking, walking, etc. On the secondary, you can sell for 8-9 thousand (which I did - now fixes are standard) FROM ultrazooms also take a look at Canon…

Pros
  • Optics : center resolution, acceptable astigmatism, coma Mechanics: stabilizer working and very quiet: 2-3 stops, USM ring - focus adjustment without switching, Internal focusing - polarizer without problems Price, weight and size for 5x zoom,
Cons
  • Optics : 17mm in the furnace : barrel, aberration, vignette, distortion, edge resolution 17-40mm Mechanics: the lens block falls out over time under its own weight and there is no retainer (but put on a tight rubber ring under the zoom ring of the lens and smile) Dust, but how much it will depend on the photographer

I will never repeat this purchase.

This glass fell into my hands from a good friend, at the price of a whale plug 18-55, it was a sin not to take it, at least for resale :). So I took on the role of a budgetary stabilized width, because a wide angle in life is very rarely needed . To be honest, the disappointment is quite strong, in terms of quality it is head and shoulders below the plastic novokit 18-55 IS. AF, even though USM is slow. The glass itself is very dark, the aperture drops strongly at the ends. Optical distortion…

Pros
  • Decent appearance
Cons
  • Dark Strong optical distortion Unsharp

Good value for money, I recommend it.

I wouldn’t buy it on purpose (unless with a very limited budget), but as the first lens or kit - very much nothing. As a travel zoom, 85mm will probably be a bit short. The drop-down trunk is not particularly annoying, sharpness can also be tweaked a little in the editor. But aperture . f / 4 ends at 24mm, then up to 35mm it's f / 4.5 and up to 50mm it's f / 5, and starting from 50mm it's already f / 5.6. Bottom line: a good reporting lens for the money, something better from the same class -

Pros
  • - Convenient FR range - Price - Ultrasonic motor, fast focusing - Stabilizer - Internal focusing, i. E. the front lens does not rotate - relevant for those who shoot with a polarizer or a gradient filter - Ability to manually focus at any time
Cons
  • - drop-down trunk - luminosity - sharpness is not amazing :)

Good product, not disappointed.

A chic replacement for a whale 18-55. It's like transferring from a Cossack to a Logan. When you put on your pants over your head, and now you can do it like all normal people. Used options are very carefully worth buying. Since you may be overtaken by replacing the diaphragm cable. Well, the backlash of the focusing ring, when when you lower the camera down with the lens, the trunk falls out by itself from its weight. But it makes no sense to buy a new one for 19.5, since for this money you…

Pros
  • 1. Image quality for its price. I mean 9 thousand, not 19.5 that they want for him now. For 19.5 it is simply not needed. 2. Stabilizer. 3. Convenient focal lengths. 4. Fast and accurate autofocus 5. Sharpness, compared even with 17-40L. On an open hole, of course, do not expect it, but starting from 5, everything looks very good. 6. Nice appearance compared to other kits and other cheap lenses. With a hood, it's absolutely gorgeous.
Cons
  • 1. Weak constructive. Over time, the zoom ring begins to play. The aperture cable is frayed and the lens comes out of storage. The harness itself is cheap (200-250). To replace it, you need to disassemble the entire lens. In the service, repairs will cost from 2500 and more. Backlash and the above jamb can happen even after a year of use. 2. Long trunk vacuum cleaner. 3. Barrel distortion at wide end 17-24, but not fatal. It is edited in editors, and often it is a feature in general. 4. Chromatitis, 18-55 for example does not suffer from this, which is very strange. 5. Price at the moment. Not that it is a minus, but simply puts an end to the purchase of this lens.

The product is of poor quality, I don't recommend it.

according to all tests on the network, this lens loses to both old lenses like: 28-135 and whale 18-55 in all respects, especially sharpness in the corners, and sharpness in the center is also much sharper, it is not clear why such a reputable company as canon released such a lens, I am writing this review so that users do not make mistakes in purchasing this lens, I tried several copies when buying and took from a friend configured in the service center, and solid soap (

Pros
  • this lens has no advantages
Cons
  • all the disadvantages are inherent in lenses, terrible geometry at 17mm no sharpness Ha

Bought along with 50 as a whale. The lens gave a pretty good impression after a year of use. I also bought a polarizing filter and discovered landscape photography (let's not forget that the lens gives a fairly wide angle). But whatever you say, after a year of use, you want something new and more worthwhile. Therefore, I recommend THIS LENS FOR BEGINNERS AND PROGRESSIVE photographers. For a more professional level, there are L-series lenses

Pros
  • no matter how they slander this lens, I can say that it is a good investment for beginners and progressive photographers. Sharp enough, good autofocus, + stabilizer.
Cons
  • Of course, two things come to mind at once. Aperture and trunk. Aperture really does not give the advantage of photographing in rooms with dim light. The trunk leaves itself after long-term use.
