I'm amazed! It was definitely worth the money!

A great pancake that you want to take with you on the street every day. At f / 5.6 it shows the best result in my opinion. * here it’s rather annoying that the canon has some kind of policy not to release fast fixes in the normal focal range in terms of EGF, like the same Nikon in the form of 35mm. However, this lens pleases with its compactness and a very nice picture. I recommend it and consider it simply necessary for a cropped canon.

Pros
  • - absolutely indispensable EGF for crop - compactness - excellent sharpness — luminosity* - price
Cons
  • - just an unbearably strong vignette in the open - you can forget about manual focusing, because STM will not normally allow you to do this - distortions are strong, but nowadays corrections save, so it's not so scary

Everything about the purchase suits me, a very necessary product.

I bought this lens from my hands, it was brought from Korea. The condition is excellent and there were no autofocus misses, but periodically, it is not clear under what conditions, the motor refused to turn the focus, either in manual or in automatic mode. There was a clicking sound. The problem disappeared by itself, and could appear after a long time just as unexpectedly. It seems to me that the problem was in my battery, and the motor was not getting enough current: during these problems…

Pros
  • Compact, cheap, fast, stm
Cons
  • On my 600D, it takes a long time to focus even with phase detection autofocus, but this is a camera problem. There was also a problem with autofocus "jamming" (see comment)

Good product at a good price, I recommend to try it.

Very happy with the purchase. I think that with a camera you need to take this lens right away as the main one. Allows you to shoot landscapes, architecture, and a little portrait. Well, in general, everything that the eye sees will turn out the same way. Due to the size, it is suitable for street photography, as it does not catch the eye. In short, everyone should have this lens.

Pros
  • Price Very high quality picture. Small size. The focal length is almost like that of the eye. Quick focus
Cons
  • As a nitpick, manual focus only works after half-pressing the shutter. If you shoot video, then the sound must be recorded through an external microphone, but it still makes noise.

Just buy it!

I bought my first 24mm lens for my T3I about 5 years ago and it has never come loose! I've used it for everything. It doesn't have stabilization, but it's so small that it's really easy to control camera shake. I can get very close to my subject and even at 2.8 wide open the image is clear and sharp. I ended up having to order a second one because I've used it so much and given up over the years. I still love it, but with Canon's updated focusing system, I don't think it gives the same bokeh…

At the moment I'm mainly taking photos with a Canon 50mm 1.4. I was hoping for something more compact that would be great to throw in a backpack for a day hike, or at least something less bulky. I figured with a $180 lens I wouldn't get too upset about it if it was ok. This thing impresses me all the time and I expect it to become as important a part of my photography arsenal as my 50mm lens. Yes, it's compact, it actually fits in a zipped pocket in my everyday backpack where I used to have to…

The lens everywhere - always in the arsenal.

A great addition to any photographer's arsenal. Whether you're a pro, just starting out, or at the point where you're willing to ditch the kit lens that came with your Rebel, this lens is a great choice. Selection. At 24mm (38mm on APS-C or cropped sensor cameras) it's the equivalent of a 35mm lens, making it a great workhorse or all-around lens. Use this lens in most situations. Don't be put off by the fact that this isn't a 'real' portrait lens - it's great for portraits. Unless you're a…
