The sand is great, nice natural color and very soft so my boys can dig in easily - much better than the gravel I replaced. But again, washing the sand is very important to save yourself a lot of trouble in the future. I had 2 bags of 20lbs and I rinsed them out in 3 buckets until the water ran clear and then some more just to be sure. Very soft. Came with a pack of bleach. My goldie loves to pick it up and spit it out. I dumped the whole package into a bucket and had a good run. Since the 3 gallon bucket was half full of sand, I filled it with water. He stirred and poured water with floats. Repeat the foam rinse x10 and it looked very clean.
