The bag worked flawlessly for a very long day as we covered 900 miles. I would recommend rolling up the extra straps when you're done loading and tape them to the tightened part of the straps to keep them from blowing in the wind. I could see it doing damage. My only complaints really would be that 1) the instructions were poorly done and 2) I wasn't sure how to attach the 7th and 8th straps. The quick release straps make it easier to install than the old Fox brand I had and it has a more aerodynamic shape so I think it might help with fuel economy. That's where the positives end. Terrible. When we figured out how to attach this bag to the car, problems immediately began. It is NOT waterproof! If you can't take anything away from my review, please understand! We had to ride in the rain for a couple of hours and our stuff in the bag was wet when we stopped to check it out. Overall I am pleased with the performance of this bag on a recent 1,000 mile trip across the country. The supplied instructions are absolutely inadequate and useless, at least if you don't have a rack. First watch some videos and read about it online. However, once you get the hang of it, it's not that bad and takes a little time to turn on and off. Might be a lot easier with a rack/rails.
