We go to your side for the second time.

My '90 Chevrolet 5.7L TBI 1st pump failed, all factory within about 30 miles. The warranty replacement left me stuck for 10 miles! no Obtain. I have never seen such garbage. Now I'm thinking of the Carter brand. Premium is definitely not worth it.

Pros
  • Excellent Overall Performance
Cons
  • Clarity

burned. - Spare parts

I bought this more expensive pump because I thought it would meet the needs of my engine. In the beginning everything was fine, but after 3 months it broke. I had to get another pump. With good money after bad money, all you had to do was buy a top-notch pump and pay the price first. I give 2.5 out of 10.0.

Pros
  • Beautiful packaging
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Use it like a diesel polishing pump

I hooked it up to a 2 micron filter on the vacuum side to polish my fuel. Actually used it as an evacuation pump because my tanks were very dirty. The thing has a lot of power and pumps plenty of fuel. It's not super fast, but it has decent volume. I love this little pump.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Modern

Not recommended for diesel lift pump

The pump has never produced more than 8psi and it looks almost useless after 3 weeks. I don't even want to try the replacement they sent me at the risk of damaging my cp3 on my 03 Cummins. I would not recommend this pump for injection or diesel installations, contrary to what I have read. Spend an extra $80 on a proper diesel pump.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • I will write later

Not satisfied yet, I upgraded from p4070 crankcase

Not satisfied yet, I upgraded from p4070 crankcase, firstly the bolts were missing, there was a hole in the little bag, the fitting they supply, is 3/8 which is fine but the barbed side is for 1/2 hose so be prepared to get fittings, the ground wire is so small and long I doubt it's even a proper ground offers, probably the reason these pumps aren't working won't last long, hopefully this thing will pump in anticipation of adjustment

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Not the best

Important P4601PH Information

Used to replace an engine that requires an integrated fuel pump. Stock 1988 GM 5.7L tbi requires 10-16psi. Called Carter's tech. Said it was what I need for a stock engine. As other people say I need a built in regulator. The standard engine runs too rich. Until the end. We will keep you informed. Secondly. The fittings provided are for 1/2" fuel hose. In most cases, a 3/8" diameter should be more than enough. The unit came with rubber isolation pads to reduce vibration transmission.

Pros
  • Very Good Price
Cons
  • Unbelievable Price

Good for adding lift to a "gravity " system

Used this pump on a Detroit/Perkins 1006-T sweeper as a lift pump. Served in the Bosch MW injection pump which initially relied on gravity and suction but after 20 years of operation the injection pump still stopped delivering fuel. Adding this pump right out of the tank worked great. Complaints - Mounts with sockets interfere with assembly and the wires are comically small. It's loud, but in my application I can't hear it from the rest of the machine.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous
