IRmm 4 Inch Wood Carving Disc - Double Saw Teeth Chain Disc for Angle Grinder - Anti-Kickback Woodcarving Saw Blade (2 Pack) Review

Every warning you have heard about the chainsaw applies twice to this disc. I'm an experienced woodcarver, but the speed and small size of an angle grinder make it too dangerous to reuse. He's recovering and I have a scar on my inner thigh to prove it. This is a very quick way to remove stuff, but it's not worth the risk.

It can be a bit of a hassle trying to get the chain around and between two plates at the same time and try to glue it to the pickup shoe and tighten the lock. but. But we are worth it. That's a beast. It also seems to stay sharp. It would be great if you had a dedicated tool for this, because again, toggling is getting pretty old.

Used as a chainsaw for small dry branches. It cuts like clockwork, maybe even easier than butter. Wear safety goggles as sawdust ejection! Put on gloves and use 2 hands. The grinder has more power than you would expect and doesn't care what it's cutting. With safety precautions, a two-hour job turned into a 20-minute job and sawdust. Very fun, very effective and in no case should a child or an untrained person play with it.

Pros: Removes material very well and at high speed. Five Star Rating. Cons: There was no sealant holding the two halves together. Fell on mine Workbench apart before installing it on my grinder. Zero rating. Ask the seller to replace it. If using this unit please note that you should use some sort of clear or mesh face shield. Does a really good job when using this unit material removal.

When the three pieces fell apart I struggled to put them back together until I found a good way to do it. Place the labeled disk, printed side down, on a flat surface, then add a chain around the disk and then add another disk to the top of the assembly. Hold the discs together in the center hole with your finger and press down firmly on the mandrel. I used it to remove bark from teak branches. Leaky Galahad was a better fit.

It was exactly as advertised but I wish I had taken the pack with an extra blade(?)! It's a small chainsaw blade wrapped around a disc that has been attached to each other. It didn't look secure, but it was securely attached to the drive. This carving wheel can grab wood and snatch the grinder right out of your hand, be careful with the angle you hold it. Go slow, once you feel it, you'll become a carving freak or an artistic genius! I'm still looking for my niche!
