It is strong and durable and the lip is very thin. So good that I can take everything with me.

I was very upset when I went to buy a Rubbermaid shovel only to find that there was NO rubber left in it. I refused to buy their expensive plastic version, so I kept looking and found this one. . I know you're sitting there looking at the shovels trying to decide what to spend your hard-earned cash on. Should I get a plain white plastic? Maybe spend some money and buy one with a rubber rim so it doesn't slip on the floor? I really don't want to spend too much money on this! Let me help you - just buy this one. Fatal error - failed after 3 uses

It would be perfect if there wasn't a fatal design flaw. The black rubber lip broke after only 3 normal uses which is unacceptable. The rubber at the transition from the edge to the dust container is too thin. Apparently, applying minimal force just a couple of times is enough for it to tear along the seam. The device still works, but I can only sweep on the good side of the pan because when sweeping, dust gets right under the damaged side. Aside from edge durability, everything else is…
