Winter Calm

Just checked and installed. Quite easy. It replaced a rusty sump that was 20 years old and not working well. The pump seems to be well made, unlike some other brands. I didn't have to go far to find the pump. It's easy to compare prices online and Revain had the best deal. My house is quite modern so this little pump is perfect for existing appliances. I don't know about old houses. What really impressed me is that I tested it in a big bucket and it shot water out like a fire hose. Now I am not

Pros
  • Assembled in the USA with imported and domestic parts.
Cons
  • Weight

Great pump for the money

Excellent drain pump. However, I need to find a way to set the float to start up with less water in the swamp. At this point I need to find a way to reduce the floating point resistance. The pool requires too much water to function. Previous options include digging deeper into the pool or taking some of the styrofoam weight off the float. Work is in progress to make it fully automatic for my configuration. But I live near the plant and can manually get it running after a heavy rain.

Pros
  • Heavy duty cast iron pump body
Cons
  • Requires electrical outlet

Extremely quiet and powerful

This pump was as easy to install as any other submersible pump. It can get messy, but that's the nature of the job. It replaced a Menard Barracuda pump that only lasted about 3-4 years. Hope it lasts a lot longer. Calm? Actually silent. As I was pouring buckets of water into the sump to check the pump, I noticed the water was going down and it took me a second to realize it was being pumped out. I didn't even hear the pump turn on. And no, I don't have hearing loss, it's just so quiet. I'm very

LARGE PUMP, suitable for evacuation pumps

I've had 4 pump failures in 5 years. is that none of my previous pumps had this build quality. It weighs 2-3 times more than the pump I replaced. The float of this pump is very simple but ingenious at the same time. My previous pump failed due to failure to the float blowing from sticking. I don't understand what's going on with this construct. I have an 11" hole so I'm limited but this works great. It took me less than 5 minutes to install. I also bought a Wayne check valve/piece that screws…

Unreliable. Zoeller

I bought this unit as a backup in case my current Wayne 1/3 pump fails. Recently he really went out of service. The installation of this unit was easy and perfect. The float switch worked normally when first installed. However, it didn't work after 20 minutes. literally the second cycle for this brand new pump and it has not fired even after multiple manual shutdowns! The Wayne customer service rep insisted that the switch was a wearable item and was not covered by the 3 year limited warranty…

Pros
  • Buy High Performance; Maximum. flow rate 4600 gallons per hour; 3060 gph @ 10ft head
Cons
  • Hard to say

Stay away. 2 years old and that's what you get

So it's October 2020 and we all know how this year is going.WTF! ? This year I decided to upgrade my Wayne drain pump with the ESP25 battery backup model which I ordered here today from good ol' Revain, just like I did with the original Wayne pump, model number 56137-WYN3 which I bought on April 8th, 2018 Well now I'm thinking, uh, maybe I should take the time to see if Wayne's main pump, which is currently a sump, is working properly. Guess what? That does not work. I'm checking the plug and…
