This keypad remote works great with my Orange Learning Button Chamberlain

This keyboard remote works great with my orange Chamberlain study button. It looks great, is easy to program, has backlit buttons you can see at night, and you can set temporary passwords. If the battery is dead, it can be easily replaced and will not lose its programming. The only drawback at the moment is that the lid slips completely off the device if you're not careful. This can be remedied by placing a screw or nail over the device (green arrow in photo) to act as a stop. I used a dark…

Great wireless garage door opener! Worth every penny!

Update - almost 4 years later and I still love it! Update - almost 2 1/2 years later and it still works great! only 5 minutes for complete setup and execution, including programming and installation. That works great. I have no issues with the sliding lid getting stuck or being difficult to slide like some others have. The keyboard glows red when the keys are pressed. It is powered by a 19 volt battery and is secured with two screws. It's a breeze to use and works as expected and promised. The…

The door is out of order

I was able to program the control panel to open the Overhead Legacy 696 garage door about 4 or 5 times in a row with no problems. However, a few hours later, my garage door would not open. The motor hummed, but did not open. I spent over 4 hours troubleshooting, changing open force, closing force, reprogramming everything, manually opening and closing the garage door, and finally removing the batteries from the keypad. The door magically opened. I figured it couldn't be the keyboard and set it…

Junk: Home Security Systems

When the first battery (the one that came with it) only lasted 3 weeks I figured it was just a bad battery, wrong brand. I installed a new Duracell and everything worked. A month later I found that this battery was dead too. Maybe it was just an old battery, I wasn't sure how old it was. I've played this game too long for a sane person. When I decided to test it out and see how long fresh Duracell alkaline batteries would last, I was surprised they lasted about a week. The keyboard was and is…

How to program your home security system

This remote control works great. I'm writing this review to help others program this thing. I spent an hour not programming this and failed, and then about 2 minutes to get it right. The instructions could use an explanation. Nothing has changed in my instructions but I received them in September 2018. Start with an open door. (I'm not sure if this is a requirement, but it didn't work with the door open, although possible mistake on my part.) You still have to be on the stairs to press the…

One star for poor instructions

We had a clickr that came with the house. It still works after many years. I just bought this device because I needed a second device. Like many reviewers, I have issues with how sticky the sliding lid is. I've used Door Ease on the rails to make them more slippery but we live in a dusty and hot climate and I'm sure we don't like the sticky surface. On the other hand, the original Clickr cover slides easily. What annoys me about this device is the poor programming instructions for the device…

Robust and well thought-out design

Moving to a new location and needed a new standard 'yellow button' remote and found this. Our garage opening device is the Liftmaster. Here are a few impressions and opinions: Preferences: - The device makes a very solid impression out of the box. The case, battery compartment and weather resistant sliding lid are made of very thick and cleanly molded ABS plastic. Of course, it looks a lot more expensive than we expected, as the price range is typical for basic remotes with inferior keyboards…

Pros
  • For a better connection, the user should ensure that there is a sufficient WiFi signal in his garage before setting it up. Includes: 9v battery and instruction manual
