Always good, but not for long.

I buy once every six months or so. Original Audis cost four times as much and last just as long. The quality is good until it burns out, then I'll buy the same again.

Does what it's supposed to do

Works well, too bad the plug doesn't have a 90 degree angle as the socket is in my center console (VWgolf). Which make it difficult to connect and have a constant flex. But it works correctly

Works great with optional line-in adapters

Glad to hear my iPhone in my old car. It was pretty easy to install (plug it in!) and worked great right out of the box. 1 month later still working. I can't see the track information, my car screen only shows 'aux', but I don't need the information, just the audio. Happy with the purchase.

My iPhone turns on and off with this cable

My car is a 9 year old VW with an old Apple connector. I asked the dealer to check the connector which they said is fine. When I plug in my iPhone 11, the charging light flashes green instead of solid. This cable is either defective or of horrible design.

Great cable but.! best car electronics accessory

Great cable overall. Plays music and charges iPhone at the same time. The only criticism is that the plug needs to be a bit longer. Not really designed to be used with the iPhone in the case. Depending on your case, you may need to remove your phone from the case to connect.

The new car needed the right cable, that's what I needed.

I needed the right cable for a used Passat I just bought to be able to connect it directly to the audio system and charge it at the same time. This cable fits perfectly into the car's MDI port, the phone plug is slightly larger than the Apple plug so it fits snugly in the case I'm using - the only reason for the 4 stars overall.

Works but is misleading

Cable fits my 2015 VW Golf. The sound quality is better than Bluetooth and it charges my phone. However, my phone shows up as an AUX device and not an iPod, defeating my purpose of buying a cable. I also don't think this accessory has been approved by Apple. The metadata in the About section on my iPhone shows a blank version, a serial number, and the name of a Chinese manufacturer I've never heard of.

I bought this cable because I couldn't endure long trips without accessories so my phone could charge and still have directions. It worked great at first, but then (after about 1 use) it started flickering very consistently and constantly between my phone charging and not charging. This is terribly inconvenient, especially when I'm driving at night, because my phone would turn on and vibrate every few seconds as it was "charging."
