I think it works - Computer Accessories and Peripherals

I think it works, it's a cable. Wrong cable, all my fault. I carelessly ordered a cable that I already had and it didn't fit what I was doing. It was my fault so I kept it. Now I have 2 yes. Nuff said Mike was gone.

DOES NOT ALLOW VIDEO TRANSMISSION TO CL

I bought this to connect my old mini DV camcorder to my computer and transfer the movie. IT DOESN'T WORK AT ALL. By googling I found that USB can NEVER send VIDEO. Therefore, this cable is completely useless.

Will not work for computer accessories and peripherals

It didn't work. I bought it to connect my Sony Digital8 Handycam DV to my Macbook. Connections matched (although DV was on the hard side and USB was on the free side), but wouldn't boot. And due to travel I missed my window to bring it back for 2 days. Oh!

Doesn't work with Sony DCR-TRV33 - close but no cigar

Attempting to import video into iMovie from a 2018 MacBook Pro. But nothing with that. I thought I could use this cable to connect a Sony camcorder to a USB adapter on a MacBook. But it didn't work with USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 inputs. Not sure why. And I can't talk about other models of Sony DV camcorders other than the ones mentioned. No hard feelings. It almost worked with my HP Windows 10 desktop USB inputs, but other drivers were needed and I was losing patience.

Sony is fooling us again

The statement that this cable only works with a specific Sony model has turned out to be correct. That said, I ordered this cable because I need a mini DV connector for the standard USB configuration to transfer video from an old Sony HI8 camcorder to my PC. Not finding such a configuration, I decided to try this cable which looked right. However, the Mini DV connector was slightly higher than the standard connector. Apparently Sony is doing this on purpose. It's famous for non-standard items…

Heed this warning: Please note that this cable only works with Sony dcr-trv75e dv of this model.

I'm not sure if it will work with this particular camera but it doesn't work with everything I tried to connect it to. It doesn't show that a camera is connected, or it shows a Windows error. Buyers be careful. I was useless to me but not worth the time to send it back. I'll probably cut it up into chunks and use it to power a 5 volt device. Or hang up a picture. From what I can tell and what I've experienced, the real way to connect a camera to your Mac or PC is to get Apple connectors that…
