Good set with bonuses

Great set, it contains everything you need to fix a common problem not only with the speedometer, but with all sensors. The oil pressure gauge on this particular truck dropped to 0 at idle as if the engine was worn out. It has just proven to be an unreliable engine. The stopper removal tool works well for removing needles without damaging the face or the needles themselves, and can then be used for a variety of removal tasks. The only thing you need is a dismantling device, pump or braid. I…

Pros
  • Fun
Cons
  • Some flaws

The speedo stepper motor didn't work and several dashboards didn't light up on my son's 2003 Tahoe. Bought this kit, drove 500 miles to my house and installed all 6 new stepper motors and 4 new dashboards. I connected the dashboard and calibrated the arrows. Assembled the dashboard and started the car. The speedo and headlights worked fine, but the new oil pressure block stepper motor went up to 80psi and stalled. I disassembled the dashboard again and recalibrated the oil pressure gauge…

Perfect kit, be careful when installing!

The kit is great. The engines are of good quality. Needle Removal Tool works perfectly! Please read below before installing! This set has everything you need. My speedometer motor has stalled. That was the main thing I wanted to replace. I unsoldered the old one and soldered the new one in. I also swapped out the tach, fuel and transmission temp motors while I was at it (although they were fine). In short, I mixed up the tracks on the speedometer. one. I took the dashboard to an electronics…

Great product, read my full review.

I give 5 stars even though it didn't work for me. I know it sounds weird, but I would sincerely advise you to remove the dashboard and send it to Fred, Dr. Speedometer to send. I thought I installed it correctly, but either I didn't or there's something else wrong with my dashboard. After doing more research I found out that there are capacitors that explode and resistors that heat up and desolder themselves. In addition to stepper motors, there can be many problems. However, I will say that…

Nice set with everything you need. The included lights are a nice touch.

Replacing the stepper motors was fairly easy. After the new ones were installed I plugged them back in but basically they weren't assembled because I wanted to check and make sure all the gauges were working because as far as I knew they were. Of course I had 2 dead pears. 1 light for 2 different sensors. One was still working so I didn't notice. It shouldn't be that bright. I pulled it out again, got the soldering iron and the car drove all the way to the solder on the top of the board right…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Interchangeable
