Not very strong, best in the mirror

Fits Yamaha AR192. The plastic is a little weak. I'm afraid it won't be long. Doesn't stick well to the windshield. It was cheap and I had to replace my old one.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Almost never

Captain outfit approved!

Great product and Captain's Gear Approved! We needed to add a transom to one of our charter boats and this product fits the bill! We can easily move it where and when we need it, so we've added a few more!Captain. CasCaptain management

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Large mirror - internal switches

We put this on the windshield and it really helped the driver keep an eye on the people being towed. Observers are sometimes distracted by other drivers, beautiful scenery and photographs, so I always feel safer when the driver can also see what's going on behind the boat.

Pros
  • Nice touch
Cons
  • Weight

Great for the price

Great for the price. I'm sure the pricier, wider ones will give you more visibility, but for the money, this works well. I accidentally left it on my windshield while towing the boat home. (20 miles) and it didn't fall and was still strung. If you want a cheap mirror that works well. It costs money.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Does not hold window frame in place

Gaskets that attach to your boat's glass windscreen/windscreen frame are made of hard plastic, rubber/foam spacers need to be added to have anything , for which you can have something to hold on to the frame. It just kept jumping out of the window frame. The harder you press, the easier it will pop out. It was nearing the end of the season and I didn't want to mess with it any further. I returned it.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Some issues

Cheap, cheap, cheap, the mount broke first.

Cheap cheap cheap The bracket broke the first time it was fitted to the windscreen. I guess I overtightened it, but you'd think hand tightening wouldn't crack the mount. I wish I had taken the time to write to the seller when this happened to see what he could do, but I'm only writing this review a year and a half after it happened.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Hard to say

The mirror is easy to install and remove with two thumbscrews

I bought three of these mirrors, two on a golf cart and one on a pontoon. The mirror is easy to attach and remove with two thumbscrews, and the mount itself allows for a variety of adjustments. Once installed it is very reliable with minimal vibration. Simple, cheap and works. What's not to like? This is a great option if you don't want to deal with a permanent install.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Should have trusted the reviews.

Should have listened to other reviews. Usually reviews can be misleading, but not in this case. Plastic SUPER weak on the bracket. Started tightening it up and wanted to make sure it was tight enough to stay attached on the road as well. As I tightened it I noticed that the plastic started to show tension and then started to break. It wasn't even tight enough for me to be comfortable holding on to the boat. So it is obvious that this is a problem. For now the transom just sits in the storage…

Pros
  • Good Stuff
Cons
  • Only available in white

Mirror clip is too weak and needs to be changed

This rearview mirror has a design that fits my small boat perfectly. I attached it to the windshield and there was perfect rear visibility. However, the plastic collar was too weak and began to loosen. It ripped (see photo) when I tightened it after a few hours of use. Instead of sending it back I modified it with a piece of aluminum. The two clamp screws are now threaded through the aluminum (10/32) and seem to be working much better. All of the distribution pressure is on the aluminum, not…

Pros
  • Trial period for one year
Cons
  • Zero
