Not sharp enough in milling machine parts and accessories

These bits do not cut very smoothly, I suspect they are not sharp enough. They look great, but they don't cut as well as they look.

Pros
  • CMT bits voted best overall compared to other brands (Wood Magazine test)
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Average quality - premium price.

Not very impressed, average quality at a great price. The first thing I noticed about the packaging was the poor workmanship, which is not to be expected with an expensive cutting tool.

Pros
  • 2 SinterHip Hi-Density Industrial Chrome Carbide Cutting Edges
Cons
  • Damaged

Very good branch cutter

My first CMT bit. The fit and finish are amazing. Works just like the Diablo tips I usually use, I don't notice any difference in cutting performance. I'm hoping for the extra money it lasts longer but can't speak to that yet as I haven't used a ton. Although I learned my lesson about really cheap beats online. Stay away from them, they will let you down every time you need them the most. I have yet to decide whether to continue buying quality beats or stick with average.

Pros
  • For use with softwood, hardwood and wood composites
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other pickaxes
