Worst product ever, disappointed with the purchase.

Pros below: Advantages 0. Firstly, the bar itself is very small, it is not clear how to sharpen what on it. Some cons: The surface wears off quickly. Literally for a couple of sharpenings it is erased into crumbs. I do not recommend the product. The abrasive is weak. It crumbles like sand.

Is NOT true to size

I was looking for a larger stone and most are only a few inches long and just over 2.5cm wide so was very happy to find this one with the product sizing description. : 0.8 x 5.5 x 3 inches, but that's not the right size at all. It is actually 3 inches long, 1.5 inches wide, and 0.5 inches high. I'm very disappointed and really need to sharpen my knife so I can't return it and wait for another one now. Don't waste your money looking for a bigger stone - it's not.

Better than expected!

This stone is the same as Norton's "Sports Stone" but easier to find and half the price! This is a great little rock for a tackle box or backpack for field touch ups. The thin side is actually quite thin, unlike most double-sided oilstones, leaving a very decent, easy-to-shave sharp edge. They are not filled with oil like most Norton stones, which is good for me as I prefer to use water over oil. For the price I paid ($4), you can't go wrong with this!

Large Compact Stone

Awesome whetstone for about $5. It is double sided (coarse and fine) and is great for touch ups in the field and at home. I've found a lot of people complain about small whetstones like these, claiming that their small size makes them useless or too difficult to sharpen. This is true when using the old traditional sharpening method, where you run the blade across the stone as if trying to cut a thin section of stone. That's because you simply won't have enough stone "real estate" to sharpen a…
