Complete nonsense. I set it up a few weeks ago, hooked up an air pump to it, and then used the two wide-open outlets. He went on vacation out of town, when he came back the air wasn't bubbling. Go and have a look and think my pump is dead, no it's just junk. I don't know how, but both sections that the air hose slides over looked like they were corroded and torn off. At first I was concerned that the mounting bracket would not be compatible with the grate I was using, but it turned out to fit great! I used the leftover bracket to widen the flat area on the screw. I bought this with some other things for my fish tank. The first arrived defective, one of the yellow caps wouldn't unscrew at all (which would result in zero pressure) I sent it back and Amazon sent me a replacement straight away (thanks Revain!) I use it as a 3 way splitter with the fourth port open. This allows me to use fourth position to control air pump noise and minimize back pressure in the air line (just let it flow into the room). When I left the 4th valve closed and throttled the other 3 to adjust the airflow to each of the 3, the air pump was quite noisy due to the pressure built up in the air line. When I hatched the angelfish eggs I needed a strong flow of air from the air hose, but once they hatched I was able to easily reduce the force that the air pumped into the air filter setup I use. Bought four of these. One was already broken when I pulled the air hose off one of the nipples. No big deal because I just closed this line forever. They all seem to have small air leaks where the yellow plastic screw goes through the black washer in the valve. I have to adjust them from time to time because the airflow changes. I've been adding some extra aerators and sponge filters to my tanks, ordered two of these and they really helped. One of them will show up in a few days. As a result, I got tired and started looking for a cheap set of valves. The 90 degree rubber bend is pretty useless in my opinion, but it hides the ribbed plastic connector perfect for the air hose.
