Ten stars! - Collars, Harnesses & Leashes

I can't believe how well this works! I have a German Shepherd that weighs 75 pounds. She pulled so hard that she injured my shoulder. I used Halti for the first time today. The difference is noticeable. I put it on at home first and gave her treats as I walked her around the room. Then we went for a walk outside. On the first walk she tried to shake it off, but I kept giving her treats so she could walk next to me. On the second walk, she didn't pull, rush, or bark at the other dogs. She sits…

Like harness and reins, but for a dog instead of a horse.

My border collie struggled with this thing until I got used to it. He tried several times to rip it out of his face, but couldn't. Although he managed to twist and mutilate him in a way that made him very uncomfortable. I was good enough to fix it. Now he's used to it, and I like that it takes his mind off distractions. He hasn't been socialized yet so he gets better every time he tries to get another dog. He probably doesn't realize it, but that's how it is. With some sort of harness on my…

I would recommend this collar to anyone trying to train their dog.

I ordered a different head collar before doing research but returned it because it has a safety clasp that attaches to your dog's regular collar. This is definitely the surest way to ensure your dog can't take off if they accidentally slip out. The sizing chart is correct as the large fits my standard 5 month old poodle but has enough room to grow with him. I would highly recommend this collar to anyone trying to train their dog for a gentler treatment. I definitely recommend following the…

Recommended for anyone with a puller

This is by far my favorite way to walk a large pulling dog. In the past I suffered both body and ego trauma using a standard flat collar or even a chain collar when my large (100lb) Doberman Pinscher decided to chase a squirrel on my front yard seconds before I knew his intentions ! He was literally able to pull the rug out from under me and pull me across the concrete. I found Halti and it ended my neighborhood squirrel's scare. I was no longer at the mercy of my big best friend's speed…

He survived a service dog who loves the great outdoors.

I love this halter. My service dog gsd is still young and I confess this is the first shop we have gone to. We knocked over the calendar stand at the entrance because she turned her head and only. Yes. We almost started with a muzzle head hybrid and as soon as things got a little boring I ordered this one. My city is used to how much bigger my GSD is compared to my last SD. And they weren't afraid of her. maybe they wanted to eat her (that was never a risk, I just know a lot of people were…

Works well when dogs are properly acclimated

I bought a size 2 for my 37lb Aussie/Sheltie mix. It cannot walk on a collar because the trachea is damaged (also, collars are generally not suitable). the safest way to walk your dog). He hates being walked around in harnesses and backs away when I take out most of his harnesses. However, he enjoys being shown around in his halti. He willingly sticks his nose in her when it's time to go. He's not a very strong tractor, but he walks along Halti very nicely and politely. I chose it over other…

Much less durable than Gentle Leader

I've been using Gentle Leader for 11 years. Worked great, but always pressed on our dog's nose with the slightest pull. When we recently adopted a dog, I decided to buy a Halti because I thought it would be more comfortable. Advantages over Gentle Leader: 1. Soft nose loop.2. A harness that clips onto your dog's collar in case the halter falls out. However, the latch is small and if you have arthritis in your thumbs like I do, you will have a hard time opening and attaching it. When your dog is
