My ammonia and nitrates went through the roof in my 20 gallons. I used the product and tested it after a few hours and it reduced it to almost nothing. Well I'm not a scientist so it looks like he's doing his job. My fish seem healthy after a few days and my water parameters seem fine after all my water tests. A few days later, knowing that I had overfed and overfilled my tank, I wanted to neutralize some of the ammonia, knowing I would change some water the next day. I used a little for this purpose and it definitely helped me. Ammonia neutralized overnight and so far so good after water changes.
