Good quality distributor but possibly cheap electronics

Looks like a solid well made distributor. Much better than standard plastic. Easy installation although the one I received didn't have alignment marks on the gear and rack. But if you follow the instructions, everything goes pretty smoothly. Update - camshaft sensor failed after about 6 months. It wasn't too bad to replace, but it couldn't use better electronics since it's a pretty cheap replacement distributor.

rotate to top dead center insert clamp and drill

Works great just took a little longer to fit but it didn't get rid of my code so the following is one of the wires I can see I accidentally disconnect one. I finally removed the code, it was 20 degrees because the clamp wouldn't let you rotate, I voted for the clamp and was able to rotate it. I've seen others have this problem, but it's easy to fix and now it's working very smoothly with no codes.

Very well done! Easier than working with a stock dealer.

On my 99 suburb I had to dismantle the manifold several times. Camshaft and hydraulic valve lifters were recently replaced. The distributor is hard to get to, if it's off more than 1 degree the check engine light will come on and since the timing is computer controlled you can't use the light to align. This replacement is used for correct indexing. Much easier than trying to tag a standard unit and hoping you get it right. If you need to remove the distributor for any reason, it's well spent.

Super good price for a reliable dealer.

First of all, this is a very well made dispenser. There are no instructions in the packaging. There are no clear markings on the distributor either. As a mechanic, place the engine at TDC on the compression stroke. I found pin number 1 on the distributor, turned it counter clockwise about 3-4 teeth and plugged it in. You need a scanner to set the time to zero. Remember that you must align the oil pump so that the manifold falls flush. I searched the internet for a distributor and saw that it…

Well made dealer and parts product

I read a lot of reviews and watched videos before attempting to put a knife in this new dealer. I installed the rotor base as shown in the video but was unable to align the rotor at TDC. See image of rotor alignment screwdriver. After many tries I finally did the oil pump shaft switch trick and the distributor lined up perfectly. Like others, I had to use my old clamp. My first attempts were with the included bracket, which didn't allow the manifold to be adjusted clockwise or counterclockwise…
