This 40A solar charge controller works very well with the AGM batteries in my RV. I run it with 4 solar panels and love the automatic polarity reversal, reverse polarity and other health checks this thing does. I've had trouble with some cheap controllers and how easy it is to reverse polarity with SAE connectors. This solved that problem for me and added a lot of nice features to download. I will definitely buy it again. In fact, I also bought a 20A version for my car camping.

Since I installed it in the box and it's getting hot, I'm going to put a 5" x 5" 12V fan between the controller and the box and blow hot air out. Bought this unit to use in my fifth wheel. First impressions are that it is well made and feels solid. Cooling fins on the back wouldn't be my first choice, but I used 1/4" spacers to ensure good airflow. However, I wasn't convinced by the design of the mount. Block on the back with cooling fins. Received the battery and all components a few weeks prior. Not only did I want to route the right cable, but also the switches in between. Oh wonder the day I received the battery I went to start wiring and what I found. At least one terminal is completely unsaleable. The screw is broken, misaligned or something.
