imac 27 " 2019 for internals

Okay I got a new imac 27" 2019, I was planning to use it with 8GB Apple RAM so 40GB in total but I noticed that the speed dropped to 2400! And when I use the 8GB from Apple I get a speed of 2667. I've also noticed that I get 2667 when I use that 32GB of RAM separately. So if you use them together, the speed drops to 2400. I hope this is for someone - something will help.

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

It works on my 2017 27 " iMac. They have .

it works on my 2017 27" iMac. You need to remove the factory installed RAM and install these modules in their place (1st and 3rd Slot). I moved the factory installed RAM to slots 2 and 4 and they seem to work. I currently have 40GB of RAM. I didn't install them properly at first, and that's why my iMac wouldn't turn on until the RAM was moved to the correct slots (and the SMC was reset).

Memory corruption crashes my iMac

Worked fine in my iMac for about 7 months until this week when my computer randomly rebooted and kernel panicked. One of the system error messages said my memory was corrupt, so I used a memory testing program to see if any of my Corsair memory cards had a corruption issue. I have removed both memory sticks from my iMac and am awaiting a response from Corsair for an exchange or refund. I've been building and updating computers for over 20 years and have never had a memory corruption error so be

Pros
  • Like everything before
Cons
  • No automatic

One of the two 16GB modules was defective (the new 2017 iMac started having kernel panics so I checked on two machines and there were problems). It's not possible to contact Corsair directly about this, so I'll have to return both modules again via Amazon and I'll get by without the extra RAM. EDIT: I was able to contact Corsair in the end, their RMA is terrible and you pay for shipping both ways. (the old item will be returned and the new one will be sent to you), even if they are responsibleโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Very expensive

Not compatible with 2018 Mac Mini

I recently upgraded my 2012 Mac Mini to a new 2018 Mac Mini I5 and used this RAM as it was 'compatible' memory for my new Mac Mini. When I first installed memory, my Mac OS only showed a flash drive. I took the mac mini apart again, swapped out the memory cards and went back to my mac os and all 32gb was there at 2666mhz but i had stability issues i have never seen on a mac before and i have been ever since a mac user mac os 7. not sure if i just have bad ram or what but i decided to useโ€ฆ

Works in Dell XPS 9550

The third time unfortunately is a charm for me. Despite what you read on the Crucial website, the Ballistix Sport LT 32GB (16GB x 2) DDR4 2400MT/s (PC4-19200) DR x8 SODIMM 260-Pin - BLS2K16G4S240FSD kit will not work in your Dell XPS . I also tried the Patriot Memory Viper 4 Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 2400MHz SODIMM DDR4 Kit (PV432G240C5SK) and either I had a bad drive or it didn't work either (although Revain had tested it for fit). Yes it fits, but it might not work. To be honest I don't knowโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Computers and accessories
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Perfect upgrade for Dell G7 7790

My 2019 G7 7790 came with 16GB which is good for most games but I was really taxing the system when streaming to Twitch or filming videos. /editing/etc. I think more RAM is the most economical way to improve performance in situations like this. I saw no need to go crazy with the G7 and its niche as a mid-range gaming laptop (I usually want to stream games and capture games, don't have a workstation-class laptop). It helps inform my decision that I didn't want to work too hard (i.e., not at all)

Pros
  • Internal
Cons
  • Not fancy
