We loved this at first as it makes great cotton candy. However we experienced with hard candy like the book said you could and quickly requested it. You get hot peices of candy shooting out at you so you can't even grab the cotton candy. Then whatever didn't shoot at me melted and is how stuck inside the machine. Only real way to clean the inside is to take the entire machine apart. Honestly don't waste your time.

The plastic piece with the metal bowl's vibration causes a lot of noise. Much more peaceful if someone can hold it down for you to muffle the sound while making the cotton candy.The unit itself is really easy to clean. Works great very quiet can make about 4 cotton candy poofs before needing to clean it or sugar will burn but the spray bottle is great for cleaning the spinner. Mine did not come with the sugar scoop though overall it's great and my niece and nephew are thrilled.

We brought this cotton candy maker for our daughter's birthday party. First time ever making cotton candy, we had a great time. Once it warmed up it was pumping out beautiful cones of cotton candy for the whole family. What a Wonderful Surprise!
