This is a very good set of drawing materials, the only problem is that the pen trays are very thin. You can leave the bottom compartment in, but the top compartment has to be removed to get to the other, and it's pretty flimsy to do that without too much care.

Cretacolor pencils are smooth and creamy for colouring, I prefer them to Prismacolor. Edited Review: After using more colored pencils in this set, it turned out that some of the pencils had a design flaw. They are broken inside and when I try to sharpen them the inside just falls to pieces. I want to address this issue as it is very disappointing for a brand I used to love and enjoyed immensely.

Colored pencils and watercolor pencils are very suitable for students and beginners, good choice of colors and just like watercolor paints, Cretacolor pencils are fine dissolve and none leave pencil marks. The reason for 3 stars instead of 5 has to do with the quality of the graphite and charcoal pencils, which don't quite match. Mainly because the degrees of hardness don't match the numbers.
