I have never terminated wires with these connectors and my experience of using them out of the box has been fantastic. I'm building an arcade game that uses a Raspberry PI, an Arduino and a bunch of devices that need quite a few Dupont 2.54mm and JST-XH connectors . It was the perfect set for my project!
