How the hell did they get 5 stars from anyone? They heated up almost as hot as a cast-iron handle. I burned my hand trying to pour the food out of the pan. The main part of the grip had to be cut off to fit over Le Creuset's enameled cast-iron grip, which is fairly standard in terms of grip size. I will try with some fabric or fabric material next to it, I think it will be better!

I'm the idiot who uses an oven mitt or towel to slide a cast iron skillet across the stove and then after 5 minutes picks it up with my bare hands to serve the food inside. You would think I would learn from the first time, but NO. They fit together perfectly and don't take up much space on your desk or in a desk drawer. Knowing I have them will make me feel a lot more comfortable when it comes time to move the red-hot pan of death.

Very glad I got it! I'm new to using a cast iron skillet and I have to say I love it. It was always messy to use oven mitts when the handles got hot. They still get quite warm with prolonged cooking, but I don't have to worry about burning myself. I also like that I can easily wash and dry them, unlike oven mitts that I had to put in the wash every time they got food on them. Definitely excellent value for money. I also really liked the color variations.

They are not durable enough to be used on HOT cast iron pans. the heat seeps through and one set even started melting last night when I was cooking. not sure, unfortunately I missed the return window by a few days. so I'll probably just throw them away. So we ordered these silicone pen holders and they work great! They fit most Lodge brand cast iron skillets and although they do get hot, they can still be handled without discomfort.
