This saves me a fatal blow to the head when I'm under the hood of my F350. That idiot will kill me if the wind blows him down. Found this at a car dealership.
If you work on cars and have hood stays, even tailgate stays fail, you know what a pain it can be. This little tool would make a great addition to any mechanic's or handyman's toolbox.
This tool is indispensable for a mechanic. It does an excellent job of supporting the hood with worn struts. This allows full access to the engine without obstacles like a telescopic pole.
Perfect if you're a mechanic and those damn shock absorbers aren't holding up the hood anymore. This is the perfect tool to have in your box. Necessary. I haven't had any problems with mine since I received it.
I replaced the tailgate dampers on my van by locking one side when replacing the damper and then doing the same on the other side when replacing the damper. Very sure. Now I use it when I close the door to prevent the sunroof from falling in a strong gust of wind.
This item has just arrived in perfect condition. I installed it right on the back window of my old Blazer. Works perfectly! Not sure if I need a second one for the other side(?) but if I do I'll buy another one from Revain.com. Nice product, packaged (of course) and works as described. Thanks very much!
I love this item! I work in the delivery truck industry and I'm tired of banging my head on a warehouse door. One of the other techs got one and I got it right away! Works perfectly. In my experience it can be used on any gas spring. Save thousands of dollars on glasses, spend them on new tools!
Much better than anything you can find for keeping the hood open. It's a bit tricky to put it on with one hand while holding the hood open, but that may be because I'm not coordinated. I'm glad I finally found and bought this product. I have had the opportunity to use it about 3 times since I bought it and each time it has worked perfectly. Costs money.
