🔌 CTEK (56-263) Comfort Connect Cig Plug: Ultimate Convenience for Vehicle Charging Review

Well made cigarette lighter plug that accepts both standard (large) and smaller diameter power outlets. The larger diameter is like any cigarette lighter port I've ever seen in a car. I've never seen any of the smaller ports. The label on the cord says it's rated for up to 7 amps, and the label on the plug itself says it's rated for 8 amps.

The connector ports are shaped differently making it impossible to get it to work. I think it's great for new models but CTEK chargers last forever so it would be nice to mention that this product can't connect to older 3300 models. Quality looked good.

I bought the CTEX MXS 5.0 to charge my Porsche Panamera during the COVID lockdown. For some reason I could not charge the car battery with the original terminals via jumpers. I tried this accessory and was satisfied. It works well with my car's 12v socket in the trunk and also makes the wiring much easier than using the original clamps that came with the CTEX charger.

I ordered this adapter to make it easier to connect my car to a CTEK battery. It couldn't be easier. The CTEK charger itself is great and this plug makes it easy to use. I don't have to lift the hood and attach alligator clips to the battery. When I change the battery, plugging into the cigarette lighter makes it easier to power the car so the radio and computer codes aren't lost. A good addition to the CTEK block.

I bought this to avoid having to service the battery with alligator clips directly on the otherwise difficult to access battery. This simply plugs into the car cigarette lighter and supports the battery properly for the last 2 months. I have used it with a CTEK 40-206 MXS 5.0-12 volt and have had the same success as in the past with a battery tender connected directly to the battery via clamps.

Quality product, works great with my CTEK battery. You need to make sure your car keeps the cigarette lighter active when you remove the keys, otherwise you'll need to leave the keys in the ignition for accessory mode (or use the battery clips to connect directly to the car battery instead). I keep this associated with my sports car as it is not used very often to keep my battery in tip top shape. Highly recommended.

This plug works great when plugged into a socket in the passenger footwell of our Porsche 991. Instead of the only option included with every CTEK tender, just a connector for direct connection to the battery located under the hood (or in the boot on some models). .
