Lots of play fits on ball joints

This has a lot of play when connected to the receiver it bounces all around. I measured if it was a different size but it wasn't, the mount is too small and has a lot of play. The castle is just fantastic. I just hope he can handle all the wobble. It's terribly noisy if not on a flat road.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Damaged

Hook it up... for towing objects and winches

Perfect! It literally took 30 seconds to install on my Jeep. I like that it can be removed if necessary. The locking mechanism reassures me. It's a heavy piece of metal. High quality. A great price makes the deal even more pleasant. I am very happy with my purchase. This is a recommended product.

So far, so good! Suitable for external accessories

So far, so good. Easy to insert and remove. I would like to see a better quality lock and key but I knew exactly what I was buying and wouldn't use it for overnight stays or public parking. If you need something for the occasional tow and won't leave it in the hotel lot all night, buy it!

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Nothing included

Very strong, well made, great welds

A solid piece that won't worry me with a trailer behind me. I've had it installed for a couple of weeks, just replacing that 2" with a 2 5/16" (also Curt brand) to accommodate a fob and so far the lock is smooth. The dust cover is good and stays in place. until after a few thousand miles on the freeway.

Pros
  • Sturdy build
Cons
  • Has imperfections

Don't lose your key! suitable for towing devices and cable winches

Very easy assembly. Block is a good feature. This is a solid product. Stupid moment: I threw away the packaging and accidentally threw the ket in the trash. Luckily I noticed it right after and dug up the key. After washing the garbage juice off of him, I put the same large keychain on him and put him in the car. Don't lose your key.

Pros
  • Have fun
Cons
  • No equipment

No stop pin and no support

Coupling looks great but has no stop pin attached. I contacted Revane and they said to contact Kurt. Of course when I contacted Kurt they said I needed to speak to Revane. So I got the stock (pun intended) from Revane and Kurt and had to order another locking pin but not from Kurt. Add to this the cost of postage to the Philippines and you will understand my attitude.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Does what it's supposed to do, no problem

Did about 2000 miles with a small U-Haul cargo trailer in a 2015 Honda Pilot, no problem. Before hooking it up, I put a spoonful of white lithium grease on the top of the ball (and cleaned the inside of the hitch). When I returned the tag 12 days later the chrome on the ball was still in great shape. The lock is fine but not what I would call high security, it will just deter accidental theft. I wish ALL of these hitch locks also had a pinhole to add another layer of security when towing, this…

Clutch + lock = what's not to like?!

Great deal on a lockable mount. I have this to pull a uhaul trailer to move the fridge. I don't have a truck so I rent it. The Uhaul trailer was the next option. Renting a trailer was cheaper than renting a uhaul truck. Well it worked great. The mount locks into place with the included lock, so you don't have to worry about someone stealing your mount if you leave it on the hitch. I've noticed a problem. The Curt 2" mount I received is a bit loose on my SUV's Curt 2" receiver. Compared to the…
