Perfect lightweight fit. on Hardware

Easy to install once you know how to remove the trim. The relevant instructions were not complete. But basically you just need to access the tail/brake light wiring harness to install it. The length of the wires was just right. For my '98 Sienna I did as another reviewer suggested and put the connector through a hole with a rubber plug and then cut a slot in the connector to insert the wires.

Easy do-it-yourself trailer brake and turn signal wiring

After I started installing the Reese Universal Brake/Turn Signal Adapter and was running out of space for connectors behind the inner fairings, I ordered one Curt adapters set up with molex connectors. They even have a video on how to install the adapter on the same car model (Toyota Sienna 1998-2003) which made the installation quite easy and straight forward.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Available in white only

Reliable components, great features, great DIY project

After installing the hitch myself, I needed a towbar. Amazon had the best deal on this wire harness kit and some online videos convinced me that I could install it myself. I bought 5 Neiko No-Scratch Fastener and Molding Removal Tools (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000LNBLTK) and got to work. The installation went smoothly and took just under an hour. The only snag I encountered was the port on the passenger side, which was hard to reach and difficult to use. I highly recommend this kit…

Smooth installation, very satisfied

Plugged directly into my '99 Toyota Sienna and worked flawlessly the first time. Installation was fairly easy following the included instructions and took about an hour with no prior vehicle wiring experience. Removing the van's interior body panels to connect to the existing headlight wiring was the trickiest part. When Kurt finds them, Kurt's wiring harness cuts right into the existing wiring. The only point of criticism: The instructions could have been more detailed and better illustrated…

  • Annual trial

Not so easy to install, but after that it works very well.

This is a sophisticated solution for adapting a non-towing van with a pre-wired cable to provide a suitable 4 wire towing device. I had a few connectivity issues, but that's due to where the car's ports are located. Not that Kurt can do anything about it, it's just that even after I pushed the back 1/3 of the inner panels apart on either side, it was almost impossible to push my fingers behind the panels and then plug the tail light connectors on first reconnect the tees back in place. I needed
