    Research the connectors

I used this on a 2002 Silverado. Will not fit in the butt holder on the hitch so I highly recommend you get a mounting bracket as well. Also, the wires are a different color than those pictured on the Curt connector. It took a bit of research, but it's doable.

    • Some little things

Runs like a champ on hardware

First off, this fork is $10 off the local price and has yet to be ordered. I installed a metal one in the side of the body for the fifth wheel and it has worked for 20 years. I replaced the OEM connector on the trailer hitch with this connector and now my trailer's brakes and signals are working again.

    Attention, the labels are wrong!

Great for the price! I used it to make a 7 blade to 4 pin adapter that I won't be using very often. Warning - color coded labels are incorrect. I just pulled the part out, popped it into the side of the trailer, pulled out the schematic on my phone and everything was up and running in minutes. I tested it and it works great!

Don't trust the color or numbers on this connector.

Although the physical product appears to fit form and function, the markings on the pins, both numbers and printed color names, do not relate to any standard for 7-pin connectors. Coincidentally! I had to compare the connector to a known good connector on my truck to determine the correct pin markings. pain in the neck.

Like this model for outdoor accessories

Do you like this model because you can connect it yourself and you don't have to buy a wiring harness. I connected 7 connectors to all my 12v cells (note only two connectors are needed, negative and positive 7 pin) for example a 12 volt compressor so I can get power from the 7 pin connector of the trucks can get. It connects to my RV's batteries, mounts to the RV, and provides an access port for my 12 accessories.

    very cheap terminals

I have had other Kurt products before and they have been fine with me. So I was very disappointed when I received this product and had problems with it. The clamps are very cheap and don't hold my two wires at all. It worked fairly well with small wires but really struggled with large wires. I would give it 1 star but the case seemed pretty decent.

    Works - Connectors

I bought this to replace an old 6 pin adapter on my 1982 Chevy pickup. It wasn't that difficult to install, but I did notice that I had to swap two colors in the wiring to get it to work with my truck. I couldn't figure out why it wasn't working properly when I first hooked it up, so I took out my multimeter and found that even though I connected it according to the colors in the instructions, the two wires had to be swapped. . I doubt the truck's wiring was wrong, but who knows. The bottom…

Not so bad for exterior accessories

Received on time and as advertised. Easy assembly with screws and clips. A strain relief at the end helps ensure the wires don't pull out, but it's always a good idea to crimp and solder the connectors and fit a pair of zip ties north of the strain relief for added strain protection. What I didn't like was that the marking of the contacts on the connector body was not marked with standard galactic core colors. This made the initial wiring a bit confusing, but the pin numbers were correct. Using
