Another example of misapplication.

Incorrect application instructions! Didn't work on my 2007 Audi A4 Avant. It's now past the 30 day return window and I'm sticking with it. Useless to me.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • The list is getting long.

Curt PWM trailer module

Installation took about 1.5 hours but I really took my time. It was easy and it works great. I installed it in a 2009 VW GTI. The hardest part was routing the power line from the module at the back of the car to the battery. Kurt did a great job.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Works great - buy a built in 15A fuse

Works great, connects directly to the battery but doesn't come with a built in fuse so I added one from my local shop. Quite easy. I've had no luck with the ones that involve existing power and lighting circuits. They can cause computer crashes and strange performance issues.

Pros
  • Heavy duty construction
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Good guide so far.

We got this for our 2008 VW Rabbit for towing small trailers. So far so good for simple functionality and durability. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it doesn't come with all the parts you need to actually set up your work light. You will need to purchase another kit that comes with 12 feet of wire, a battery connector, and zip ties. It would be great if Kurt just put everything in one package. Other than that, this is a great product.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • No power

This is the second CURT trailer light adapter for vehicles.

This is the second CURT trailer headlight adapter for vehicles with PWM headlights that I have purchased. The first lasted just over a year before failing outside of the warranty period. Hope the second one lasts longer. I regularly tow my 2006 Audi A4 Avant 2.0T Quattro, but I expect a properly installed kit (with fuse, solder joints, and heat shrink tubing) will last indefinitely. The solid state electronics must withstand normal use with a small sailboat trailer, cargo trailer, or LED-lit…

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cable shorter than others

The instructions for using Revain and Curt Mfg are WRONG!

This doesn't work on my 2003 Audi A4 Avant. After spending an entire day troubleshooting this unit, I have come to the conclusion that both the manufacturer and the Revain application manuals are incorrect. My Audi doesn't have PWM signals, they are separate reversing, turn signal and brake light wires by default. Revain was kind enough to accept this as a refund even though the 30 day window had expired. I recommend checking your car's wiring carefully before ordering this product. The correct

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

I do not recommend Curt 52601

I do not recommend Curt 52601. I have installed over ten hitches and harnesses in the last 6-7 years. I've had these straps fail twice. When replacing failed third-party wiring harnesses, both the trailer I pulled and the car were checked for short circuits and none were found. The replacement straps had no issues so I have to assume it was a faulty Curt strap. The short was in Kurt's wiring harness, and since there was no internal reset, the wiring harness was destroyed. The wiring harnesses…

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging
