Literally plug and play.

The easiest installation. DO NOT follow the instructions if you have a 2017 terrain. Lift the spare tire door all the way up, look to the left, you will see a square hole big enough for a small hand to fit through. Press the connection, hold the wiring in the hole, and pull out when you use. Did! You don't have to unscrew anything.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Protection

Ideal trailer light connector for factory wired vehicles

After a little research online I came across this connector to add to my aftermarket towing setup. Installation on my 2016 Equinox LS was easy. Just had to lift the load floor, find the factory installed connector - connect the 2 ends and it was done in 3 minutes. We turned on the car and checked the headlights on the trailer for the 4 pin connector and we were in business.

Pros
  • Some competitors
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Worth every penny. Fits quickly and perfectly.

Perfect for our Denali terrain. open trunk. Raised floor for access to spare tire compartment. Reach over to the side panel and simply plug the extension cord into the existing OEM trailer wiring port. Did. Long enough to reach the trailer plug. Stores inside with the spare wheel when not in use. Additional parts for vehicles without OEM trailer wiring connectors where splicing may be required. Excellent guide.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Doubtful

Easy latching with pre-assembled connector on my 2017 Chevy Equinox LT AWD.

I have followed the advice of others to position the connector on the driver's side after removing the boot floor. You will see a small hole with a plug attached to the side. If you have small hands you could probably attach it to the hole. Mine were too big. After realizing that it's only secured to the side panel with a plastic sleeve, I took a flat-head screwdriver and carefully unplugged the connector. It is then accessible for easy connection outside the hole and works perfectly.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Not as thick as others

Worked for me: Exterior Accessories

Worked great on my 2015 GMC Terrain Sle which I also added to the trailer pack. I used a different wiring harness attached to both taillights that eventually started having problems with, found this connector under the spare tire on the left side looking for a new wiring harness, double checked I had the connector, and i ordered this wire harness, took longer to unload my truck than this to install, i routed the wire under the mat and left it there until i need it, very simple folks. Nothing is

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers

Perfect plug and play

I bought this connector for my 2014 Chevy Equinox. Perfect, plug and play. I was under the impression I needed a different plug to plug into the taillights on each side unless my car had a towing package; If so, you can use this much simpler straight connector. Not right. Simply lift the rear cover of the spare tire and look to the left (driver's side), there is a gray connector attached to the floor panel in the side panel area, it mates with this tee. Plug it in, route the cable and you're…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

A good product. for outdoor accessories

Good price, easy installation. Comes with instructions on how to find where your trailer's light plug is located. This means there are no wires to cut and plug in on your Chevy Equinox. The fork exists. Just plug in. Underneath your replacement is a round plastic connector (the left one, there are 2 of them), pry it off with a screwdriver or similar and cut off a small piece on the outside big enough to insert the wire. Then seal it with silicone, or ask your local store for some dum-dum (this…

  • Ideal for outdoor activities
