Cutting Wheels Dremel Diamond Mandrels Review

I was skeptical about purchasing this type of tool without seeing it in person but I am very pleased with its performance. I use it to cut 1/4" brass tubing and 1/8" to 1/4" brass flats and they all work as needed and seem safe.

I used several smaller blades and a rod on my fork and a large rod and blades on my cordless drill while I slept. They worked great both ways. I mainly cut through wooden planks, but they even cut through wire shelving like butter! Very happy with my purchase!

The plastic shrink wrap fully adheres to the blades leaving them fully tacky. It was very difficult to remove them. MINUS 2 STARS FOR THIS. However, the blades themselves appear to be quite sturdy. What you get for the price seems good.

I bought this mainly for disc knives. The hole in the mandrel appears to be centered, allowing the blade to perform without much wobble. The teeth aren't very sharp, but I was able to slice through the walnut without too much trouble. It cuts twice as well after I file the teeth. The teeth don't appear to be offset so there is a lot of resistance when cutting deep into the wood.

Actually not good at all. The handle flexed slightly even though I specifically followed the instructions and pushed it into the dremel as far as possible. I was also careful when cutting chipboard and didn't put too much effort into it. Started vibrating like hell after the shaft buckled, apparently from being unbalanced. Also, the blades didn't cut well at all. Purchasing this product is simply irresponsible.

Check the packaging to ensure all small components (including miniature discs) are included. The packaging is poorly thought out. Small pieces float in the open sleeve. The sleeve is then packed in a plastic box which, due to its inexpensive nature, doesn't protect small parts very well. Bought these for cutting and notching, they work, with one caveat, the sanding or sanding attachment moves more material faster with fewer passes . When I used the diamond wheel, which was great for the Formica notches, the assembly came loose and crashed more than once (it was probably my rotary tool, but that was the only part that started).
