Perfect replacement

My faucet dripped very slowly - enough to be a nuisance. I found a YouTube video that explains how to take it apart and found a component that looked exactly like this product. I tried the part in the faucet, ordered and replaced it. leak fixed. Very good inexpensive repair.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Some trouble

Better quality than Pfister's current price today! No comparison!

I loved how perfectly the part fits and works! I don't like the fact that the off position of this valve is slightly different from the original. If you replace one, replace both, otherwise they won't be in the same relative position when powered off.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Some bugs

Ideal for my application

Ideal. It took me less than ten minutes to install using just a #1 Phillips screwdriver and an adjustable wrench. Remember to close the valve under the sink before removing the old one. I used this on a Price Pfister bathroom faucet. The old FBA_18864B stem was just starting to leak and I had to replace it.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • No

Great replacement for the original stem valve

I received a leaking Pfister valve which was replaced with this one. Fits perfectly with a Cavitator - the angle of the handle is slightly different! I read other people's reviews so I knew it might be the case and ordered a stock for the other side too although it was fine. Now they are both symmetrical! The original rod lasted about 15 years, I hope this one will be the same.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Not the best

I hate those plastic faucet handles

I hate those plastic faucet handles but I'm not sure if there's any other choice if you're replacing an old one. Basically, they break very easily. Some of them even come to you already broken โ€“ so make sure to check beforehand if the plastic is broken in the first place. When screwing on the faucet, be careful not to over-tighten or it will crack and break inside, requiring hours of digging through the parts later with mini tweezers.

Pros
  • beautiful thing

  • Modern

Might solve your problem for a few weeks but mostly rubbish

Pfister sent me a repair kit to replace a replacement valve that didn't fit my old bathroom faucet so I desperately bought it. Worked for a few months and then started leaking. The plastic stem that the knob screws into is very cheap/ flimsy and you can feel it flexing as the valve closes. I've had to tighten/adjust the valve about every 4 weeks for the past few months to stop the leaking and yesterday the handle broke the stem when I tried to over tighten it. Basically, these are unnecessaryโ€ฆ

  • This is great

It can be overtightened and damaged too easily

I can't fault this particular purchase as I bought the stem as a backup in case the other two Danco stems I bought from Home Depot , to fail. After 6 years of use, my original Price Pfister faucet stems started leaking. Danco was the sole replacement for Home Depot. I had to buy 3 because a new stem failed to install. Two months later one of the new ones started leaking again and 3 more were bought as 2 of these new ones failed to install. I believe the stem and/or faucet design is incorrectโ€ฆ
