Great kit but you need to do some research to easily install it.

A great kit that provides the aesthetic you want without the expense of a complete suspension rebuild. Installation on 4 Runner 2006 depends on your settings. The instructions that come with the kit are very simple. There are many guides and step-by-step guides online that you can follow. Before you start, make sure you have an X-Reas harness. If you don't have an X-Reas, this kit is much easier to install as you can remove all of the suspension components.

  • Ideal for outdoor activities

Lots and lots of problems out of the box.

The front spacers look hand cut. There were bulges and misshapen pieces everywhere. I ended up having to sand the edges but they still didn't fit the top panel. Bolt extensions were screwed in incorrectly. Two of them started twisting the threads and destroyed the first few inches of my new frames. One of them didn't stick at all. the thread was too big and could easily slip off and be removed. After hours of trying to fix manufacturer issues. In the end, I just had to abandon the idea of…

Good elevator. Looks great.

Not bad to assemble with the right tools. Spray the top three strut bolts with liquid wrench a few times before disassembly, it could make life easier! Rent a GOOD spring compressor and it will turn out to be pretty decent. Taillight. Otherwise it is quite comfortable to drive. Perfect lift, not too much, not too little. Has a durable appearance. There is another small rake, not as big as at the drain. I like it. Running LT 265-70-17 on this 2006 4runner SE there was a bit of pre-lift friction…

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Hard to say

Summer Rusty 4Runner from New England! Took me only 6 hours including leveling, mounting and balancing 4 x Nitto Tera Grappler 285/70-17 and they fit great, system works great. Two downsides: the front upper wishbones rub against the tires at full lean (we'll be getting wheel spacers soon), and what's most annoying is that the ESP and TCS lights now come on as soon as you crawl forward or backward. $3000 Autel Scanner and NO Error Codes on this particular module! I'm at a loss, I called Daystar

  • Superb Construction

Love my DS lift goes well with chassis

I installed this kit just over a week ago and absolutely love it! First, the price can't be beat. I paid $150 for a 2.5/1.5 lift. Don't think there is a better deal. Installation was easy, quick and easy. I think most people report 4 hour setup times for them. My dad and I, both fairly mechanical people, did it in 3 hours and if we had to do another one we might have done it in 2. The look was exactly what I wanted, especially after 32" tires were fitted. Quality is factory! I spoke to someone…

Great lift kit for my 06 4Runner with Xreas suspension

Great lift kit. My 2006 4Runner is a 2WD with Xreas suspension. I installed it myself with some basic tools and a jack in 3.5 hours. I would have saved at least 20 minutes with 14mm and 17mm ratcheting box wrenches. Many YouTube videos were watched before doing this car operation and the best way to perform this lift is to unscrew the lower control arm from the spindle and drop it off. Scroll compressors aren't even remotely needed if you go down this route. The whole operation was very simple…

The truck sits and drives exactly like stock, 2 in total

I mounted this on my '07 4runner. I think the installation took about 4 hours. I've had this kit on my car for over a year now with no problems. It was a very basic setup with average tools. I installed both front and rear spacers because I wanted to be able to carry and tow gear without getting my back under the plane. The truck sits and drives just like the original, only 2.5 inches taller. I was able to fit tires up to 265/75 17 on my truck with no problem. Inner fenders a little. This kit…

Now perfectly leveled

I installed this kit on a 2007 4runner Sport Edition with X-Reas suspension which made it harder to try to clean the hydraulic lines connecting the shock absorbers, to say the least. not to damage. The lower control arms took a lot of force to push them down far enough to bring the shocks back. Luckily the rear was very light. Thanks to the footpegs, my car is now perfectly level. The difference in distance between the front and rear wheels only gives the impression that there is still a rake…
