Easy to use - switches and relays

Perfect rocker switch for my lightbar. It appeared right in the place of the factory switch on my Jeep TJ. No surprises with this switch. Easy to use and the included instructions were easy to follow.

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Ideal for switches & relays

Apparently these switches are more or less standard - they fit perfectly in the factory cut outs on my Kubota RTV SUV. No long term durability data yet - I'm hoping it's weather resistant enough to handle a car used outdoors but otherwise parked in a garage. Simple 3 wire connection. It would be nice if the wiring was clearly labeled on the switch itself and not just on the packaging.

Pros
  • Trial for one year
Cons
  • Can't remember

Cheap Imported Junk

I have purchased individual items not sets supplied by XT Auto. Mine arrived in actual Daystar packaging and exactly the same as the ones XT Auto sells which sucks. They are very, very fragile and the fit and finish is rough. I don't know who's full of crap, Daystar or Revain, but at almost $10 a derailleur, I'm giving them up for cheaper imported crap of the same quality.

Pros
  • Quality Construction
Cons
  • Negative Score Present

Not a real product

Daystar is a great company, I already had 3 other toggle switches from them on my jeep and I was ready to get the last paint to finish it. Unfortunately, the manufacturer sent me the wrong switch on this list, which looks like a Daystar switch but is glossy instead of matte and has an added green stripe. Recommend buying from another site if you want a real Daystar switch.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • New competitors appeared

This is the best switch among switches and relays

I bought this for some aftermarket headlights on my 2003 Jeep Wrangler TJ. It fits most of the time, but won't fit as an OEM. There's a plastic tab that flexes so it snaps securely into just about any size hole that the back will fit. It gets the job done and doesn't look too out of place as it sticks out about a half inch more than the OEM button. My only other complaint is that the ports on the back aren't labeled. I had to get a volt/ohm meter because I lost the instructions to figure out…

Great rocker, good for switches and relays

I love that damn button. I have a Dodge Magnum and needed a special adapter for my car so my aftermarket audio receiver would turn off when the car is turned off. My friend had the brilliant idea of getting one of these and manually turning my receiver on and off with that switch. I tried to do all the wiring and boom, this thing works like a charm. Now my setup is even better because I can turn the car off and the radio still works until I flip the switch to turn it off. Also, the rocker is…

Rocker switches on switches and relays

The switch itself is a quality piece of equipment. The box the switch was packaged in contained an electrical diagram showing the function of each of the 3 terminals. This information is very useful when connecting a switch to a circuit. The only thing that was not taken into account was the dimensions of the hole in the panel for installing the switch. After several hours of searching the net, I still haven't found this information. The switch has a bat anchor on each end which, when…

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Requires outlet

The Rugged Ridge switch block on the side of the A pillar will work with this switch. Rugged Ridge makes similar switches, but I like the shape better. The instructions that come with the switch are clear so hookup is easy. The lamp is powered by the cable leading to the relay. There is also a terminal on the back that needs to be connected to ground. So there are three terminals on the back; Power consumption, power output, lamp mass. The terminals are standard size and easily connect to the…
