Don't crunch!

I bought this one step crackle but it didn't work! The instructions for use were quite simple, but short. I applied it according to the instructions and it didn't crack! I'm surprised because DecoArt is usually a good product! But I think you can't always be perfect! It was a failure and a waste of money!

Not working

Painted some rustic frames and wanted to crack the finish to improve the worn look. I applied Crackle Medium liberally and eagerly awaited the results for hours. Nothing has happened. I went through the simple instructions and tried again with a different sample. Again nothing! I'm glad I only spent the money on a small bottle. Let's move on to another technique.

. the farmhouse scene with no cover and it worked perfectly. Normally you would have to use the second one.

I wanted something to distress the decoupage farm scene without covering it up and it worked perfectly. Usually you have to use a second color to get the crackle effect, but it does that on its own. I then used diluted white paint which I rubbed off and settled into the cracks making it look old. Worked great.
