The Dee Zee Heavy Duty Cargo Mat is made from a different material than the Bed Mat. The tailgate is a much more durable material. It's a different color and texture. Well made material. This item is classified as a general purpose tailgate protection mat and will most likely require some trimming to fit your tailgate. I used mine on a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. I had to trim both ends because the inner tailgate of my car has a embossed shape that tapers down. I also rounded the bottom corners.
