    Great when it worked

    I bought this in July 2020 and it was perfect for my needs for the first 6 months of use or so. For the past 3 months, it has been regularly suffering from video quality and processing issues - lines and choppy video. This was usually solved by unplugging and reinserting the USB side. Last week the device stopped working and just returned a black screen. RIP, video capture card. You were cheap but I hoped you would last at least a year.

    Poor quality internal parts

    It worked fine although it worked but when I removed the USB cable the inside of this USB mateable device broke off and now it is unusable and I wasted my money.

    Difficult to stream, good to record

    Not sure if this would be useful for a steamer as it doesn't work with the HDMI splitter I'm using. Without a second monitor, it has a slight input lag compared to what my observations show, allowing it to be used to stream RPGs that don't require split-seconds input. Definitely suitable for those who want to record HDMI input.

    Very important! Choose the USB 3.0 option, it comes with a real USB 3.0 cable.

    Choose the USB 3.0 option ($9) over the USB 2.0 option ($6). I can't imagine why there is a cheaper model at all. The USB 3.0 option is by far the Revain's best video capture quality, better than many similar products costing at least twice as much and in some cases featuring USB. 2.0 cable instead of USB 3.0 cable; I bought them and sent them back. It's actually a combined video and audio capture device, on Ubuntu Linux 20.04 it works perfectly plug and play with Open Broadcast Studio (OBS)…

    Used this to add video stream from one computer running Easy Worship to another computer running OBS for church. Works perfectly. There are no problems with the interface.
