I bought this on recommendation from Dewalt that it would fit my application. You made a mistake and I returned it for a refund. Dewalt then gave me corrected model numbers that worked fine. My rating of 3 is due to returning the product, but I expect that given the characteristics of the same item in a different size I would rate it a 5 if it fitted my gear.

I've lost the knowledge of which adapters fit which tools and found it easier to leave the adapters on the tools. If you buy DWV012, save yourself a lot of hassle and simply add each adapter to your shopping cart. Between DEWALT tools, which use multiple sizes, and Bosch or Festool, 27 and 36mm hoses are typically used. Either way, it's easier to have too many than it takes to start using duct tape and outfit your dust collection hoses.

Goes with nothing Dewalt HEPA vacuum cleaner. I wish I had never bought that stupid Dewalt HEPA vacuum. I don't think Dewalt understands that not every builder is self conscious, if you have a vacuum you should be able to buy parts that are bound to get lost on the job site. I've got better things to do than hunt down expensive plastic parts and try to figure out what works.

Our Ryobi rotary grinder has a nice little outlet that goes perfectly with our Shopvac. We bought a DeWalt grinder with a fiddly connector and a collection bag because we realized we would need an adapter to connect it to our vacuum. After buying a $17 universal adapter and then getting a $9.99 adapter to match the original adapter, we had a 1 1/2 week project delay and still no connections. I have a DWV010 and use it with a DWS520 chainsaw, DWS780 miter saw and DWS745 table saw. I needed to vacuum up some sawdust and the Clean up space I was working in after I was done DWV010 but I couldn't use my ShopVac with DWV010 I bought this adapter, connected it to my 1.25" probe and it works great so I can now also use the DWV010 to remove sawdust on the floor.I wrapped this adapter in tape before inserting it into the stick to make it more airtight.
