That Fixed It - Power Tool Parts and Accessories

That's a real tool saver. I had 3 hits with the same problem, bits fell out. This little spring guardian will fix them all. I have ordered 4 more to have in stock. It only took a few minutes to fix the second and third. The first lasted 10 minutes.

Fixed my drill in less than 5 minutes. Very Nice

I did a little research on Youtube and found a guide that describes how to reinstall one of these springs. It didn't take long and the retainer works like new. My buddy had a similar problem and just went out and bought a new drill press. Much cheaper and nicer to be able to fix it now!

Didn't fit at all!

This spring didn't fit my drill at all. I couldn't get the ring on my Dewalt drill to work properly no matter how hard I tried to install the spring. I followed the exact instructions on the seller's website and the expert videos posted by Dewalt technicians. I'm very mechanical and had to give up in the end. Looking again at the packing slip, I noticed that the spring was marked as for a Black and Decker drill. It could be the case! Not sure if it's "IMPLICATED" to fit some different brands or

Hassle Installation: Power Tool Replacement Parts

Before you begin, search any YouTube video for how to replace a Dewalt hammer drill chuck spring. Cover the table with an old white towel. The small ball bearing is very easy to lose! None of the videos show where the ball bearing is in relation to the spring stem. If there is a position error, the cartridge will pick up the bit and hold it, but not let go! The tongue of the spring runs under the ball bearing. This means that the ball bearing is in the groove, but as far away from the collar as
