Replace the tape with hot melt adhesive

The supplied adhesive tape is not hot melt adhesive but regular adhesive tape that should be replaced with a good quality hot melt adhesive. I'm running it on a larger main chip in an older Uverse VIP 1225 DVR box that had overheating and shutdown issues. Works well with this and similar applications.

Functional, looks good, buy the correct band - sold in wrong quantity as shown in picture

Aside from the fact that they came incomplete (I got two instead of four but Revain sent me one new set sent), they are ok, and the price is right for the main anodized aluminum heatsinks - they work. Nothing more to say than that: the supplied 3M 9448A tape is not suitable, I repeat, not suitable for use with a heatsink. It sticks pretty well and stays that way even when it's hot - 9448A tape is rated for high temperatures. However, it's not designed to conduct heat, and in fact, thatโ€ฆ

No thermal tape, but still a good radiator.

My original order only had 2 in a pack. As I needed 3 I reordered and the second order had 4 as described. returning the original return order; probably something that keeps coming back to stock since the other reviewer was short. Good construction and black anodizing. Unfortunately, despite the product name, the tape is NOT a thermal tape; Just look for Tape 9448A on the 3M website. It is characterized by "good holding power at high temperatures and good adhesion to various surfaces. It'sโ€ฆ
