The dies are far too heavy for their weight

I have used these to cut all the "recommended" sizes, but I have also cut material onto 1" x 8" or a 1/4" sheet by 3" in length. I use this blade on my Makita 18V Cordless Saw. You just have to move slowly and let the blade do its work without pushing too hard and it will go. I only had one blade but it did has endured quite a bit of abuse in 1018/A36/similar mild steel.Only issue is I'm draining my batteries faster on my saw now, I should probably switch to a corded saw as it's a blade that…

Maybe in a chop saw?

This little guy survived about 30 angle cuts through 16 gauge 2 inch square mild steel pipe. over $1 per cut. I put it in my circular saw and the first few cuts went like clockwork. The cuts were so smooth and clean that they were easy to weld. Once that blade was dead I used a grinding wheel in the angle grinder and of course the gaps got bigger. I'll probably spend on argon and filler wire, which would be for a new blade. Six of one, half a dozen of the other I think if you had a smaller…

This blade will not cut black steel, only mild steel.?

The ad DOES NOT say what type of steel this blade will cut. Cuts mild steel only. I tried cutting a woven mess with about 3/16 inch thread but found it was hardened steel. If you want to cut metal with this blade, make sure it's easy to cut with a file. If not, use a flashlight. I would rate all the features much higher IF this issue was clearly advertised so I don't break the blade unnecessarily. Addendum: I bought a second blade from Home Depot because I needed it badly. The only metal I cut…

Finally the right tool for metal roofs!

I can't believe how well this thing works. I often use metal roofing materials and cut them in various ways. I saw them at a local store but they didn't fit my cordless saw. At almost forty dollars, it still wouldn't be an impulse buy. Since I decided to do this, I've been crazy about it. My 18 volt saw had trouble sawing through metal with my previous blades and the batteries died very quickly. Haven't used this blade on an extended project yet, but the ease with which it cuts tells me those…

Doesn't last long at all

I was very happy to try it. And it worked great in the beginning. It literally couldn't be used for a full day. I put the saw blade on my Dewalt 20v XR Cordless Circular Saw with a 9AH Flex Volt battery. The saw and the battery worked perfectly as always. But the blade dulled quickly and eventually even lost a few teeth. Before you start questioning my skills and abilities with these tools, let me just say that I work in a commercial shipyard and have been a manufacturer for over 39 years. . I…
