DiCUNO Socket Extender Extension Adapter Review

I had some floor lamps and wanted to buy newer LED bulbs to save money. Due to the design of many older lamps, newer LED lamps have a thicker base and will not fit the socket. You lift the base just enough to fit the LED bulbs. This also worked on my lamps where the lampshade mounts were causing a constriction near the bulb. Again, this has raised the level of the new LEDs to a level where they are well suited.

I have some old jars in the ceiling and had to flush the bulb with the ceiling to get better lighting (the BR30 bulbs were about 3 inches in the ceiling ) . I bought these and some BR40 bulbs and they are perfect. Everything is very strong and even if you shake the light bulb, you can't tell that there is an extension cord. They were well packaged, if a bit dirty, but I literally rubbed them. wiped with a dry paper towel and they looked like new. It was the best price I have ever seen would buy

These extenders work great. They are not as strong compared to ceramic extensions but are much lighter. Historically, incandescent and halogen bulbs have conflated with the extension cords used in my track light boxes because of heat build up inside. Since I've been using LED lamps, it doesn't bother me anymore. Due to the plastic and metal construction, I would only recommend them for LED bulbs or glasses with good airflow (cooling). These units look decent, quality and finish are consistent with their price point of under eight dollars for four. Note, however, that they will not fit in the large bases (where the transformer is located) of most CFL bulbs. With CFLs, you can't screw the bulb in deep enough to complete the circuit with the pin in the socket. They seem to work great with incandescent and LED filament bulbs. I used them to extend the sockets in my outdoor spotlight so I could use wide base smart sockets that couldn't plug directly into the recessed sockets on the light. They worked great and at a great price! I originally (mistakenly) bought longer ones (6.5cm/2.56" extension adapter, 200W max bulb extension) but they were much longer than needed for my application. I will not be returning them given the cheap price of these adapters. Maybe they can be used for another project.

I have some old lights that I've been wanting to use with new bulbs, but many LEDs and CFLs have a wider base than the old bulb. This means that when the new "wide" lamp is fully screwed in, the bottom electrical contact will not make contact with the bottom of the socket. I received my first order on time. The blocks are solid and look well put together. Unfortunately one of them didn't work. I saw there was a small locking wire in there and it broke. I contacted DiCUNO customer service and they responded very quickly. I was offered to send back half the cost and they also sent another set of 4 sockets. I told them no refund was required. We love to buy centuries-old buildings. They always come with a handful of problems, and this one really had its fair share. Our problem was that in our showcases I lower the ceilings and they are in the original fixtures or they don't slide out, we would have to rip out the ceilings in the showcases to get these fixtures flush with the ceiling, they really weren't that far from the bulb to the sockets.
