Very easy to use scale. Very clear numbers and easy switching between grams and ounces. The top part comes off despite the responses to my pre-purchase request. You just slide it to the right and it will pop out for you to remove from underneath you. The scale looks very simple and no frills, but it does its job well.

usability. Extremely sensitive. I wanted to know the weight of something in a ziplock bag. I put the empty bag on the scale, let it reset to zero. He removed the bag and placed the one with the food on the scale. That gave me the exact weight. Easily switch from US to metric weight. You can make ounces or pounds: ounce. Format only (0.1 oz in lb:oz format), great value.

So far, so good! I bought two different scales from two different companies (one from Zerla) for our own comparisons and had to return the other as 'oz' wasn't offered as an option even though it was listed as such. We buy a lot of scales for our business (a busy sandwich shop) and plan to buy a few more over the next few months. This one is holding up very well compared to many we've bought in the past.

This is a very good scale. I'm impressed with its peak performance and accuracy. I especially like it to weigh groceries below. An ounce or two of food on a plate. To use, simply place the plate on the scale and press the tare button. This resets it to zero given the weight of the dish. Based on the other reviews I am very disappointed with this product. Immediately after unpacking I had a problem with the display. I unpacked it on Sat 1/28 and Sun. After putting the batteries in, I found that the top 2/3 of each digit was not showing. If you look at it from an angle you can see the display. This small scale from Zerla is easy to use, fast and accurate. The selection of several weight units helps to rule out conversion errors with exotic "unfamiliar" recipes. I wanted a digital scale that would help me accurately measure equal amounts of material when using two part epoxies.
