Playing PS2 games in 480i looks fine, colors are slightly off a tiny bit but not worth being upset over. But in Progressive mode for games that support it, there's weird moving scanlines that are pretty distracting, which is a shame since it's like THE reason to use component cables. I've tried different HDMI cables and adjusted my TV settings to no avail. I might eventually try a different set of component cables but I feel that wouldn't fix it as I wasn't getting this when directly using them

Very ease to use and if you have a component switch box you can have multiple items hooked up to it. Just for that is the reason I needed this.

Worked great for a connection to a Roku device with a Vizo TV that the HDMI ports no longer work.Only drawback is it requires power via USB with is provided but it does then need one more outlet.

I like being able to watch old VHS tapes, and my new LG OLED TV is built for HDMI, which of course is not an output option for a VHS tape player. With this converter I was able to convert the component output of the VHS player to HDMI and plug it into my AV receiver. The VHS picture looks fine on the 4K TV, even though it is much lower resolution, and the sound is great through the HDMI Audio Return Channel.

I updated my old LCD TV to a new LED 4K. The old TV had the typical RCA component connections (4 video, two audio) which connected my son's old Wii game which is still going strong. As is common with most modern TVs you'll rarely see a component connection any more. Everything is HDMI and that's a good thing. This inexpensive little adapter is very easy to use and works well. Looked like it would work for either the DVD or Roku with only an occasional dark screen and return. After about a month quit working on Sony DVD so changed to Roku ultra. It worked for 15 minutes and then dark screen every few minutes until finally colored lines across screen and never worked again. Waste of money and time to install no matter how easy to it was.
